Why Yoga?

" Yoga is when the self rests in its own being, in our own original nature which is pure awareness" - Patanjali


You will have your own reason for wanting to try Yoga and I am interested to hear it. Perhaps you are looking for an exercise class with something more;  a way to un-wind and de-stress; or some "me time"- a chance to check in with yourself; exploring your inner spirit and own true nature; perhaps a recovery from injury or maybe you would like to be able to age with  grace. Yoga is nearly 6000 years old!

Talk about product testing! Yoga isn't a fad and is not going away. The evolution of Yoga continues. You can find any kind of Yoga these days from Paddle boarding  to Goat Yoga. Everyone is different. It is important to find the right Yoga for you.

what can yoga do for you

Yoga can bring us back to our true nature, inner spirit or our heart centre, a place from where we can put our best foot forward with elegance. Where mind and body are as healthy as possible. Yoga is a chance for you to experience your 'truth', to accept it, and to use it. Yoga allows us to 'act' rather than react.

What do I need?

  • Yoga can start cool and quickly heat up so dress accordingly, anything loose or whatever you find comfortable to move in is fine 
  • try not to eat or drink anything 2 hours before class starts
  • prepare to sweat, bring a hand towel
  •  bring something warm to wear for relaxing at end of class
  • your own yoga mat however there are mats to borrow should you need to
